IFTR PERFORMANCE AS RESEARCH WORKING GROUP - SEOUL, South Korea
Abstract:
A sixty minute workshop designed to demonstrate and evaluate different natures and subsets of performance and performance as research. The workshop will involve the whole group in actualising, analysing and differentiating between the acts of performance and performance as research. In summary and through a variety of documentation the group will articulate the specific research outcomes from different perspectives.
Concepts explored will include overt & disclosed performance; conscious and unconscious observation and knowledge; contextual responsiveness; subject-object dualities; reflexivity through multimedial representation and documentation; direction and mis-direction; complicity and trust.
