Opera without words has been a project I have wanted to do for many years. Without words does not mean without narrative or character, though. And there are real benefits for an audience:
No mugging up on the story before they attend.
 No surtitles.
 No linguistic or pronunciation issues.
 No miming.
Just voices with people and a story.
One that you can follow and understand whatever is your first language.
 And...we can tour it anywhere.
 Anywhere and to Anyone..
Because I love voices, I have made the orchestra entirely optional, so the piece can be performed either a cappella in a small theatre or with full orchestra in a larger one.
Seven voices are reduced to two in this tryout of bits of the material here at BAC. And the orchestra is notably absent.
But then, it's just sketches, a couple of scenes presented from the opera.
Performed inimitably by Frances M. Lynch & James Meek.
